It’s our natural animal state to feel peace and calm. But our culture and conditioning just don’t make it easy. Especially in menopause when it seems the whole universe collides and colludes to create just the opposite – chaos! Teenage kids, ageing parents, work, relationship and financial challenges.
In all this, I invite you to “pause space”. It’s a place of calm that’s always accessible in the maelstrom of menopause. A place where you can access and bring more of your human heart to the world. It’s a place of gentle, soft bellied acceptance. A space to feel love and be loved.
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” -Viktor E. Frankl
It’s tempting when you feel discomfort to leap over the space to the fix. It’s taken me half a life to realise pausing is where the inner work and ultimately healing, transformation and freedom reside. It’s taken me half a life to reclaim my agency, relevance and autonomy and that’s the gift of menopause.
Our relationship with the transition of menopause changes as we move from fixing to accepting – from chaos to calm. To be in acceptance of what is, whilst moving towards change and something that is more open, whole and loving.
The aims of the pause space are:
- To share experiences and stories of midlife, menopause and beyond.
- To learn more about transitioning in ways that support wholeness; body, mind, spirit.
- To bring together experts in the fields of relationship, embodiment, hormones, longevity, spirituality, and women’s health to share their wisdom.
Watch “pause space” for more events and posts as we head into 2023.
